Sustainable Mediterranean Garden in Vallromanes

Complete transformation of 1200m² integrating pool, living areas and sustainable garden with native plants.

The Challenge

The client wanted to transform a neglected garden with a steep slope into a functional and beautiful space that reflected Mediterranean style while minimizing water consumption and required maintenance.

The terrain presented several challenges: a deficient drainage system, a 15% slope causing erosion, and the need to integrate a pool area with the overall garden design.

Our Solution

We designed terraced levels that take advantage of the natural slope, creating different environments while solving erosion problems. We implemented a rainwater collection system that reduces water consumption by 40%.

The selection of native Mediterranean plants not only ensures survival with minimal irrigation but also creates an ecosystem that attracts local pollinators. The design integrates shaded living areas, a natural pool, and compacted gravel paths that respect soil permeability.
